Can I ban someone from sending me mail?
You can set your mail preferences to block messages from non members and also from people located outside of the United States. There is no way to ban specific users from emailing you without removing your profile.
How can I contact MatePal?
How do I remove my profile?
You may remove your profile at any time by accessing your profile,
clicking on Edit Account and then clicking on Remove Profile Permanently.
My birthday is wrong. How can I change it?
If your birthday is incorrect, there is no way to change it. You need to remove your profile and then add it again with the correct birthday.
When will I know if my picture was approved?
Pictures are usually reviewed within two days from when they were submitted. You will only receive an email if your picture is rejected. If you view your profile and click on Click here to see your profile as others see it, you'll be able to see pictures when they've been approved.
Where can I find more search options?
When you click on the search tab, you will see a table with a red border which contains a few search options such as age, height, and gender. Underneath the red table you will see six green tabs. The first one is entitled "Body Features." You can click on these tabs for more search options.
Why can't I see my primary picture?
When you add a new picture, it is automatically submitted for human review. When it's approved, your picture will become available to the general public. You will need to designate a picture as primary (if none are currently designated as primary) by clicking the [P] to the right of the picture number in your profile.
Why do I have to verify my email address?
If you are not a member, you will have to verify your email address every time you send a message to prove that the email address is still in your control. Email addresses change hands from time to time and this helps in the fight against fraud and spam. If you are a member of MatePal, you can send messages without having to repeatedly verify your email address.
Why don't I receive emails with new matches?
If you have set your preferences to receive new matches once a week by email and they never arrive, you may want to edit your ideal match in your profile and broaden your search.
Why don't I receive verification emails from MatePal?
Spam blocking devices may prevent you from receiving mail from MatePal. MatePal does not send spam or sell email addresses, but it does send out a high volume of messages daily and this may be interpreted as spam. You may need to sign up again with a different email address from another email provider.
